Vertical axis marine turbine KOBOLD
Design, wind tunnel testing and implementation of a marine turbine with vertical axis (called KOBOLD) for the exploitation of tidal currents. The turbine was developed with the company "Ponte di Archimede" in Messina.

The turbine has a diameter of 6 m. The prototype is installed in the Strait of Messina. The Kobold turbine has been the subject of international patent No. WO 2005/024226 A1: "Water turbine with vertical axis for generating clean electric energy exploiting tidal currents" |
